Junior QA Tester

Job Description:
-This requirement is with one of our UK based gaming client Lightning fish games.
-Candidate should have excellent communication skill and willing to work as a team. This is permanent role based in Pune.
-As a QA Tester you will be testing console games for functionality and usability; tracking, recording and verifying discrepancies; following and recommending quality assurance procedures.
-Test pre-release Console games to verify functionality, data content, performance, usability/playability and compatibility.
-Describe game discrepancies in an orderly and concise method.
-Carry out scheduled plans and provide feedback to their respective superiors.
-Perform any other duties as assigned by the superiors with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties.
-Preparation of Functional and Compliance Test cases/checklists and Test Plans under guidance.
-Bug reporting in bug database and properly updating the bugs with comments and status during Regression.
-Provide accurate estimates and reports of test progress.
-Functional Testing and Compliance Testing.
-Preparation of different Functional as well as Compliance Checklists.
-Defect Tracking and proper reporting in the defect tracking tool used by the organization or clients.
-Providing the detailed report about defect status on performing Regression testing.
-Updating the defects in database that require information and are in NMI, CNR state.
-Continuous improvement on the Quality of defects reported in database by eliminating Dupes, NMI’s and NAB’s.
-Open to provide suggestions and ideas that can be implemented in the product for better quality deliverable.
-Sending daily reports to Team Lead acknowledging him for the tasks accomplished in the day and for any major issues encountered in the day.
-Acting as a Team Player and enhancing effective team co-ordination to achieve organizational goals.
-Should always update himself with New Technological Changes introduced in the process.
-Proper use of tools used for the testing process like Cameras and Software for taking screenshots etc.
-Performing the assigned tasks in the required time and be Punctual. Should be flexible for working extended hours/ in night shifts.
-Demonstrates PC knowledge and familiarity with MS Office (word, Excel, Outlook).

Skills:
-Minimum Candidates flexible with work timings ie working in Night Shifts and also for extended hours.
-Should be a graduate.
-Demonstrates basic PC knowledge and familiarity with MS Office (word, Excel, Outlook).
-Must be self motivated with a strong work ethic that can work with limited supervision.
-Previous Game Testing experience
-Knowledge on Global gaming industry.
-Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
-Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
-Experience and familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres.
-Knowledge on Compliance Testing for different Console manufacturers
