Core Banking Solution for Co-operative Banks – Application for the post of Project Manager (PM) –Post Code No. 2

NABARD invites applications from eligible candidates having necessary experience and qualifications for the post of Project Manager to implement and monitor core banking solution across :

Job Position : Project Manager (Core Banking Solution ) – Upto 4 posts (to be filled in phases)

Job Description : NABARD is implementing CBS across ~100 District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCB) and State Cooperative Banks (SCB) in India. The 100 banks will be divided into regional groups. Each Project Manager will be required to oversee
implementation of CBS in across the banks in one group. Each group will include multiple states. The Project Managers will report to a COO for CBS appointed by NABARD. The Project Managers will be required to travel frequently to the banks and to the NABARD HO in Mumbai.

Qualification & Experience : Graduates from any recognised university. Preference will be given to candidates who have done post graduation in Commerce, MBA (Finance), Economics and having computer knowledge. Any specialized training or
qualification relating to development finance, rural banking and IT etc. shall be of added advantage. Candidate should have banking background, with experience in implementing Core Banking Solution.

Desired profile : The candidate should have :
o Minimum 2 years in Core Banking Solution implementation at any commercial bank/RRB/Co-operative Bank. Experience in managing a data centre, managing vendors, formulating and enforcing SLAs will be added advantage.
o 15 years minimum experience at any commercial bank / RRB / co-operative bank or other financial institutions. IT / Project Management certification will be added advantage.
o Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage teams.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Working knowledge of operations in co-operative banks or RRBs with excellent problem solving skills

(Engagement will be on contract basis, initially for two years, extendable further on the basis of requirements of the project)

Location : Posting may be at one of the Bank’s Administrative units in India or at HO,Mumbai.

Preferred Age Group (Yrs) : 35 to 55 years as on 30 June 2011.
