Job Description:
The associate should have the following knowledge and working experience:
-Windows Operating systems
-Candidate should have strong knowledge and work experience on the following operating systems Windows XP, Windows 7/Vista and Windows 2003/2008 in terms of installation, configuration, troubleshooting and windows scripting
-Candidate should have good knowledge on Remote Desktop, Citrix ICA, VMware Workstation, Microsoft Virtual server 2005 and Virtual PC 2007
-Network: LAN/TCP-IP, DNS configuration, remote access configuration, RDP and associated troubleshooting skills
-Active Directory: AD Users, Groups administration and Group Policy
-Microsoft SMS/SCCM:
Good knowledge and hands-on experience in creating SMS/SCCM packages, creating advertisements and publishing applications to desktop PC
Application Virtualization (SoftGrid) Packaging Skills – Minimum of 6 months experience, desired – 2 yrs
Should have proven experience in Application virtualization and sequencing using Microsoft App V (SoftGrid/MDOP)
Application package creation using Microsoft Application Virtualization Sequencer tool (Versions 4.1, 4.2 & 4.5) and related packaging skills like registry editing, conflict analysis, quality analysis, security and troubleshooting skills
Creation of pre-launch, post –launch and custom scripts by editing OSD scripts skills
Should have good knowledge in writing VB scripting and XML scripting for customizing virtual application packages
Should have sequenced both MSIs and .exe files using dynamic suiting features. Should have good process knowledge with respect to integration, Unit and User acceptance testing
Knowledge in OSD editor, OSD to MSI convertor
Application Packaging Skills – Minimum of 2 yrs experience, desired – 5 yrs
Good Knowledge with respect to MSI packaging tools Wise Package Studio, SMS Installer, Windows Installer
Should have proven experience in packaging and repacking both vendor provided MSIs and .exe files
Should have proven experience in Citrix and Windows Server application packaging
Should have good knowledge in writing VB scripting for custom application packaging requirements
Should have good process knowledge with respect to integration, Unit and User acceptance testing
Certifications – Candidate should have minimum 1or more certifications

MCSE Windows 2003
MCTS (Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack configuring)
Job Skills:
-Proven experience in handling US/UK based clients during technical discussions, obtaining Knowledge Transfer, acceptance sign-off from either end users/IT staffs or application owners or SME’s and documentation skills
-Candidate should have good verbal and written communication and documentation skills
-Candidate should have worked in minimum one packaging project where he/she has completed the entire life cycle
-Process Skills: Helpdesk or Desktop support – handling L2 calls, incident management and problem management
-Project Management skills
-Candidate should have proven experience in managing desktop engineering projects such as application compatibility testing, MSI packaging, Virtualization or Desktop OS migration/refresh
-Should have expertise in quality management process
-Candidate should have worked as a project manager for minimum 2 desktop engineering projects and have completed the entire project lifecycle
-Candidate should have strong communication and documentation skills with familiarity to QMS
Experience: 4-9yrs
Qualification: Any Graduate
