1. Department : Health Services
2. Name of Post : Junior Consultant (various specialities) – in the following subjects
Subject:
Anaesthesia
Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bank & Clinical Lab
Dermatology & Venerology
Forensic Medicine
General Medicine
General Surgery
Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Respiratory Medicine/TB &Chest Disease
Psychiatry
Radio diagnosis/Radiotherapy
Age : 18-41.Only candidates born between 2.1.1969 and 1.1.1992 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post.Other Backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation.

Qualifications:-
1. Degree in Modern Medicine(MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
2. Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in concerned speciality or equivalent qualification or Diplomate in National Board in concerned specialty
OR
DM Degree in Cardiology/Neurology/Medical Gastroenterology /Nephrology or M.Ch Degree in Urology (Genito Urinary Surgery) /Thorasic Surgery/Surgical Gastroenterology/Plastic Surgery/Paediatrics
Surgery/Neurosurgery or equivalent qualification of Diplomate in National Board in the above specialties.
Note I: Preferences will be given in direct recruitment to candidates with Post Graduate Degree or Super Specialty Degree over those with Post Graduate Diploma qualifications, other things being equal.
Note II : 1. Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Degree/Supper Specialty Degree where ever mentioned in these rules must be either awarded or recognized by any recognized University or
equivalent institute. Medical post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification recognized by Medical Council of India and Diplomate in National Board awarded by National Board of Examinations
only will be considered. Non Medical Degree or Diploma mentioned in this rule must be awarded by any recognized University or equivalent institute.
2. Equivalent Medical qualification wherever mentioned in these rules (except DNB) means those qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Medical Council of India.
3. All persons must posses valid registration with Travancore-Cochin Medical Council The applications shall be submitted only through on line facility provided in the website of the Kerala
Public Service Commission. Detailed instructions regarding the submission of applications are available in the Website of the Kerala Public Service Commission viz. www.keralapsc.org. No application fee is
required. The bar code number in the application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/ correspondence. In case a competitive test is conducted for the post, the details would be published in the PSC Bulletin and website of the Commission. The admission Ticket for the test may be downloaded from the website by using the Bar code Number. Applicant employed under Kerala Government Service
shall obtain a receipt from the Head of Office as mentioned in para 20 of General Conditions under Part II by handovering the down loaded copy of the application sent to the Commission. Original receipt and
documents to prove qualification, age and community have to be produced as and when called for. Email address of applicants may also be shown in the application. Applications which are submitted not in
accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.
