Vmware products: Knowledge on Vmware ESX Server, Vmware Converter
ESX Server installation: Setup of Esx Server through ILO/DRAC/RSA
Networking:
-Network connections, Configuration of virtual switches.
-Configuration of port group
Storage: Lun visible to esx server, Extend the Lun in ESX Server
Virtual Center installation:
-Setup of virtual center, License server installation
-Creation and Management of Virtual Machine
Use of templates: Manage using Virtual center and web access
Resource Management
-Vmotion migration, High Availability feature, DRS feature
-Setting VM priorities on CPU, Memory and other resources
-Virtual Machine access control
-Controlling administrative rights
-Monitoring Environment
-Service console monitoring, Workload assessment,
-Take the performance graph of Vm’s and esx host if required
- Data and Availability protection
-Vmware Cluster, Backup (VCB), failover
Troubleshooting
-Systematic isolation of problems
-Common symptoms, faults, fixes
