Experience in tuning VLDB (terabytes), RAC, portioning, I/O & OS tuning.
Knowledge of hardware, storage system & network is desirable
As a Database Administrator, should have 2- 8 years of experience in any of the following Databases:

UDB (JC:UDBA 01)
Oracle (JC:ODBA 01)
Sybase (JC:SDBA 01)
SQL (JC:SDBA 01)
