Job Description:
-Performs structural analysis of a complex nature using conventional hand analysis and/ computer analysis
-Establish, develop and validate structural design concepts of nacelle components through static and dynamic assessment of metallic and advanced composite aero-structures and nacelle components using semi-empirical and analytical approaches.
-Analyze and develop efficient structural load paths and ensure that all stress requirements are integrated into final design.
-Considers static and dynamic loads, material rigidity and fatigue using a broad range of standard hand and computer methods and technical information provided by aerodynamicists, thermo-dynamicists and the customer.
-Define, support and document structural test efforts to assess the structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
-Familiarity with nacelle components and programs including an understanding of basic load conditions and load paths.
Skills:
-Hands on experience in structural static analysis of Aerospace metallic and/or composite structures using hand calculations, PATRAN/HYPERMESH and NASTRAN. Prior experience in hot engine-exhaust structures and/or crack growth analysis is also sought.
-Experience with engine nacelle structures is a plus.
-Strong application of engineering principles and theories in structural analysis and test methods
-Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Able to work in Lean Product Development Team environment
-Good Project Management skills, People management and Problem-solving skills
